Two stations should not be reading the same ticket over each other's shoulder — and that is just as true in a food truck as in a dining room. Add a kitchen display for each, turn them on, and tickets route where they belong.
They do not need to be on the same network, or wired back to a box in a cupboard, because there is no network to join. Put a screen where the work happens.

When the queue goes down the block
Work the line outside. The counter keeps running.
Send someone out with a handheld and start taking orders where people are actually standing, while the terminal inside keeps ringing up its own. Same menu, same tickets, same running total.
Not synced between two systems — the same system, in two pairs of hands. Walk as far as the cell signal goes, which is considerably further than a Wi-Fi router reaches.

Guests order from their phone. You tap Ready.
A customer scans, orders and pays from where they are sitting. The ticket lands on your kitchen display in real time, in the same queue as everything else, so nobody is watching a second tablet for online orders.
When it is up, tap Ready and they get a text. No numbers shouted across a patio, no buzzers to buy, chase and replace.
